ATA iSpec 2200

ATA iSpec 2200 is a global aviation industry standard for the content, structure, and electronic exchange of aircraft engineering, maintenance, and flight operations information. iSpec 2200 minimizes cost and effort for operators and manufacturers, improves information quality and timeliness, and facilitates manufacturers' delivery of data to meet airline operational needs.

The Contenta XML content management solution provides the following functionality to support the requirements of iSpec 2200:

MIL-SPEC

When the U.S. Department of Defense contracts for a new piece of equipment or weapons system, there is usually a requirement to deliver operation and maintenance information in SGML format. The SGML data must be written to one of many MIL-SPEC DTDs and will drive the presentation for electronic or paper delivery.

Contenta addresses the requirements of MIL-SPEC and adds value by:

AECMA

AECMA (Aircraft European Contractors Manufacturers Association) has published three major specifications for the support of aerospace products: AECMA Simplified English; AECMA S2000M for Materiel Management; and AECMA S1000D, the legacy specification to AIA/ASD S1000D.

XyEnterprise’s solutions support the authoring, management, and publication of data structured with the new AIA/ASD S1000D and legacy AECMA S1000D content models. We also integrate with third-party products to provide Simplified Technical English checking.
